SVIS Key 5:
The key factors that help a student reach their potential are definitely our Key 5 i.e. Effort, Behaviour, Class work, Homework and Academic Excellence. Our prime motto is to provide a holistic development for every child. Students are given House Points based on the Key 5 every week. The house which earns the highest points is rewarded in return.
Care And Well-Being Of Pupils:
At SVIS, we believe in promoting students’ personal and social development and fostering positive attitudes within them. This is done through the quality of teaching and learning; through the nature of the relationships amongst students, teachers and parents; through the specific pastoral and homeroom systems. Pastoral care assists students to develop positive self-esteem, goal setting and negotiation, enhancing their strengths and other protective factors contributing to their resiliency as well as developing a sense of social cohesion that together can improve their overall health and wellbeing.
We have carefully developed a culture of wellbeing and recognized the need to plan for it. Students have opportunities to show leadership and have their opinions heard and acted on. Teachers strive towards creating an atmosphere where students feel happy and are at ease to share their views, ideas and grievances if any.
